RWJBarnabas Health, together with Rutgers Cancer Institute, the state’s only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, provides patients the most advanced treatment options including clinical trials, precision medicine, immunotherapy, complex surgical procedures and sophisticated radiation therapy techniques. We offer blood and marrow transplantation as well as cellular therapies, and house the state’s only hospital-based proton therapy center. Centers across the health system also offer robust oncology support services including psychosocial support, nurse navigation, nutritional counseling, health and wellness programming, and general and disease-specific support groups.

Jack and Sheryl Morris Cancer Center

The Jack and Sheryl Morris Cancer Center, located in New Brunswick, New Jersey, will open in Spring 2025.

• 12 story 520,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility located on the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital campus
• New Jersey’s first and only freestanding cancer hospital
• Inpatient care: 96 inpatient beds on three floors, a dedicated floor for surgical and procedure rooms, a central sterile processing area and inpatient support spaces
• Outpatient care: 84 infusion bays, 74 exam rooms including clinic space featuring a ‘beach/boardwalk’ theme for pediatric patients, advanced radiology including four linear accelerators, diagnostic equipment (CT, MRI, mammogram and other equipment with core lab), pharmacy facilities and outpatient urgent care
• Research: Research laboratories and equipment to support 10 research teams and clinical trial offices

Melchiorre Cancer Center at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center

The Melchiorre Cancer Center at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center, located in Livingston, New Jersey, will open in Fall 2025.

• Freestanding cancer center located on the Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center campus
• 5 story 137,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility
• 52 exam rooms, 40 private infusion rooms, 7 short stay treatment spaces, and 6 extended stay treatment spaces
• Radiation oncology treatment and specialty machines
• Radiology suite with PET CT, MRI, X-Ray, ultrasound and fluoroscopy
• Wellness facilities including a teaching kitchen, art therapy, a dedicated space for exercise programs as well as psychosocial programs

Specialty and Cancer Care Center at the Vogel Medical Campus

The Specialty and Cancer Care Center at the Vogel Medical Campus located in Tinton Falls, New Jersey, will open in late 2026.
