Nurses Improving Care for Healthsystem Elder (NICHE)
NICHE Care for Older Adults
RWJUH Hamilton is proud to carry the NICHE Designation in recognition of our commitment to patient-centered care for older adult patients. NICHE hospitals recognize the specific/unique needs of older adult patients and that patient- and family-centered care is imperative to creating a positive experience for elders.

Better Health Program - a free membership program available to seniors who want to improve their health and well-being.

Senior Centers - Community educators provide classes and screenings at centers in Hamilton, Lawrence, Robbinsville, East Windsor and West Windsor.

Senior Programs/ Wired Seniors - Classes explore a range of topics affecting older adults such as mental health and medical conditions. Regularly scheduled favorites include Medication Brown Bag and the AARP Driving Class.

Screenings - Screenings measure hearing loss; cholesterol, glucose and blood pressure levels; and look for the onset of medical conditions such as osteoporosis and cancer.
Medicare Counseling
Free, objective, confidential Medicare counseling is available to seniors.
State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) counselors provide objective
advice by individual appointment. Call 609.924.2098, ext. 14.
