The Certified Stroke Center at Monmouth Medical Center provides comprehensive, expedited diagnosis and treatment by a dedicated stroke team with unparalleled experience in the treatment of stroke, 24/7.

Expedited assessment of acute transient ischemic attack (TIA) and stroke is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and advanced treatment is delivered without delay. Upon arrival in our ED, patients are immediately evaluated for stroke and suitability for clot busting thrombolytic therapy, which has been shown to improve outcome and reduce long-term disability. When appropriate, thrombolytic therapy should be administered as soon as possible to reduce the severity of the stroke, because time is brain.
