Community Medical Center - Diabetes Nutrition Class
Diabetes is a serious and complicated disease, but it doesn't have to control your life! Our multidisciplinary team of experts can help teach you important skills and provide tips to help you set and achieve your health goals.
Community Medical Center’s Center for Diabetes will offer a Diabetes Nutrition Class on Tuesday, August 6, 10 am – 12 pm. The class will be held in Community Medical Center’s Center for Diabetes, located at 9 Hospital Drive, Suite B-15, Toms River, NJ 08755.
The class will teach important, healthy eating skills including:
- Carbohydrate counting for blood glucose control
- How to read food labels
- Portion control, with demonstration
- Heart-healthy eating
Registration is required by calling 732-349-5757. Please have your health insurance information available when registering. The class will be billed to your insurance.
Attendees must have a doctor’s prescription for “Medical Nutrition Therapy or Diabetes Education.” Attendees may bring a guest at no additional charge.
