Diversity, Equity and Inclusion leaders from Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset, Monmouth Medical Center, Monmouth Medical Center – Southern Campus, Community Medical Center, The Institute for Prevention and Recovery, RWJBarnabas Health Medical Group and more than 150 employees from across the system participated in New Jersey’s 32nd Annual LGBTQ+ PRIDE Parade and Festival on Sunday, June 2, 2024, in Asbury Park. The PRIDE celebration is New Jersey’s largest parade and festival. The RWJBarnabas Health team provided health screenings and information, including details about the System’s LGBTQ+ primary care centers and navigation services – The Babs Siperstein PROUD Center, the PROUD Center at Community Medical Center and the PROUD Gender Center at RWJUH. With 13 RWJBarnabas Health facilities designated as Healthcare Equality Index leaders by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, our participation in the PRIDE Celebration demonstrated our organization’s continued commitment to the LGBTQ+ community.
