at Trinitas Regional Medical Center

Trinitas Regional Medical Center in Elizabeth, New Jersey offers state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment options for patients with cardiovascular conditions. We have a fully licensed Cardiac Catheterization and Elective Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) Lab where we perform preventive and minimally invasive procedures that can minimize risk and recovery time versus traditional surgery. At our hospital, we deliver comprehensive and compassionate care using evidence-based guidelines. We are here for you.

State-of-the-Art Equipment and Techniques

In our spacious labs, using new equipment, techniques and devices, we perform cardiac catheterizations, elective and emergency angioplasty (also referred to as a percutaneous coronary intervention, or PCI) transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE), cardioversions, loop recorder insertions and various invasive vascular procedures.

Our modern Diagnostic Center provides a convenient, all-in-one facility for inpatient and outpatient testing including electrocardiograms (EKG), all types of cardiac stress testing, echocardiograms (fetal, pediatric and adult) electroencephalograms (EEG), Holter monitoring, vascular studies, coronary computed tomography angiogram (coronary CTA) and calcium scoring. Located near the main lobby, the diagnostic center can easily be easily accessed by all of our patients.

Elective Angioplasties Can Prevent Emergencies and Save Lives

Trinitas Regional Medical Center offers elective angioplasty procedures in our fully licensed Cardiac Catheterization and Elective Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) Lab. An angioplasty is a minimally invasive procedure done in the cardiac catheterization lab to treat heart attack and chest pain syndromes. A small balloon is inserted to open a blocked artery and restore blood flow to the heart. A heart attack can occur if that blood flow becomes completely blocked. Highly experienced interventional cardiologists on staff at Trinitas Regional Medical Center are available to perform elective angioplasties.
