Emergency Department
The Emergency Department at Community Medical Center is one of the busiest emergency departments in New Jersey – caring for children, adults and seniors for life’s minor injuries and more serious illnesses and injuries.
We are ready and able to handle all of life’s emergencies. No problem is too big or too small for our highly qualified team.
Pediatric Emergency Services
- Our Emergency Department is equipped to provide emergency care to pediatric patients, with a seamless transfer process if a child requires inpatient care.
- Pediatric specialty telemedicine consultation services are available if needed in the patient’s treatment.
- All Emergency Department faculty are Board Certified in Emergency Medicine. Their training and certification includes the management of critically ill and injured pediatric patients, and all of the non-emergent issues that the pediatric patient population would present with in our Emergency Department.
- On our staff is a dual Board Certified in both Emergency Medicine and Pediatric Emergency Medicine, fellowship trained physician, who directs the department with all pediatric policies and procedures as well as ongoing competency assessment and continuing education.
- All Emergency Department Registered Nurses are Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certified.
