We are passionate about providing a wonderful experience to all of our candidates and strive to implement innovative technologies to ensure a timely and seamless hiring process.
What is a Digital, On-Demand Interview?
Once you submit your application to our Talent Acquisition & Innovation team, you may receive an email from HireVue inviting you to complete a digital, on-demand interview. On-demand interviews allow you to complete an interview anytime, from anywhere, on any smart device.
Before you get started, you will need a smartphone, tablet, or computer with video recording and microphone capabilities. You will also want to ensure your high-speed internet is functioning properly.
To help you warm-up and get comfortable with the HireVue platform, you will have the opportunity to answer a practice question prior to getting started. This portion will not be saved, and you can take as much time as you need prior to getting started.
Once ready, you will proceed to the recorded interview portion where you will start the on-demand interview. You will see each question on your screen, and have the opportunity to film your response. In some instances, you may have the opportunity to re-record your answer if you are unhappy with the first take. Some of the interviews may also include multiple-choice, multiple-selection, or written response questions. Please remember to be yourself! Perfection is not necessary here – simply focus on telling your story and allowing your skills and personality to shine.
Talent Acquisition & Innovation will have the ability to share your interview with other internal decision makers, which may help expedite the hiring process and save you valuable time.
Digital, On-Demand Interviewing Tips
Allow us to help set you up for success by offering the below on-demand interviewing tips:
- Be sure to treat this interview the same way you would treat an in-person interview.
- Ensure you are in a quiet area with no distractions so you can focus on telling your story!
- Check to make sure you are within the frame and that your image is clear prior to starting. Having minimal light behind you helps keep your image crisp. It is also recommended to cross-check that your background isn’t too distracting.
- Make eye contact with your device’s camera, instead of looking at your own image.
- Be yourself and don’t focus too hard on perfection!
