Alexander B. King, MD
- Radiology
Board certified as a radiologist, Dr. King will be responsible for the
overall clinical quality provided at all affiliated breast imaging locations.
In addition, he will collaborate with physician and administrative
leadership to develop new programs that improve access to Breast
Imaging services for the communities we serve.
Prior to accepting this position, Dr. King served as attending breast
radiologist with RWJBarnabas Health Medical Group, providing breast
imaging and intervention at all three Southern Region hospitals. He
joined Monmouth Medical Center as an attending in July 2016 and has
spent the last four years assisting in the growth of the breast practices
across the Southern Region. A lifelong resident of Monmouth County,
Dr. King is proud to serve his local community and help spread awareness
for breast health and early detection practices. Presently, he is focused on
meeting the needs of our patients and community while maintaining safe
practices in the new environment since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
Dr. King received his medical degree from Robert Wood Johnson
Medical School, Piscataway. He completed his internship in Medicine
at Beth Israel Medical Center, New York. He completed a Diagnostic
Radiology residency at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston.
He also completed fellowship training in Breast Imaging and Intervention
at Barnabas Health Ambulatory Care Center, Livingston. His professional
affiliations include the American College of Radiology, Society of Breast
Imaging and Radiological Society of New Jersey.
Dr. King’s education, work experience and clinical expertise make him
highly qualified for this critical role within the RWJBarnabas Health
Southern Region. He looks forward to working with a great team of
physicians and technologists to continue our fight against breast cancer.
