Apply for SNAP Food Assistance With our Local SNAP Navigator

Through a grant from the New Jersey Food Security Initiative (NJFSI) and the State Department of Human Services Division of Family Development, RWJBarnabas Health offers a first-of-its-kind program in New Jersey to place Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Navigators in 12 of the system’s acute care hospitals.

Our goal is to address health equity by reducing food insecurity and hunger by enhancing access to healthy food and nutrition education, aligning with RWJBarnabas Health’s mission to build and sustain a healthier New Jersey.

Get Help Applying

SNAP provides food assistance to families and individuals who qualify to help buy groceries in most food retail stores and some farmers markets.
