RWJBarnabas Health Name Change Clinic
Identification documents are required for all aspects of everyday life, including job or housing applications and accessing health care and public benefits. People who do not have identification documents that match their preferred name and gender identity may avoid participating in these activities of daily life for fear of being outed as transgender and exposed to discrimination.
RWJBarnabas Health, in partnership with Legal Services of New Jersey, is able to provide legal advice to help transgender and non-binary community members to legally affirm their names.
The Waterfront Project supports the project with additional volunteer services.
This service may be free to those who meet certain income specifications.
This service is by appointment only.
To schedule an appointment, call 973-322-9824 or email NameChangeClinic@rwjbh.org.
