A pediatric intensive care unit is staffed with the highest level of specialty-trained physicians, nurses and other professionals who provide care for critically ill children. The pavilion's decor offers a whimsical, bold seashore theme.
Monmouth Medical Center's Epilepsy Monitoring Program improves seizure control and quality of life for children and adults suffering from epilepsy and other seizure disorders. Central to the Epilepsy Monitoring Program is state-of-the-art technology that provides continuous video and EEG (electroencephalography) monitoring of electrical activity in the brain. Through the program, pediatric patients are monitored from any pediatric inpatient room via a mobile EEG unit. The goal is to observe any seizures or seizure-like activity in a protected environment, so that a more precise diagnosis can be made.
