The latest in low-dose mammography equipment is in use at Trinitas, and now a comprehensive Women's Imaging Center features a one-stop approach to women's health care including bone densitometry testing, ultrasound, minimally invasive stereotactic breast imaging and ultrasound-guided aspiration/biopsy. The Women's Imaging Center is part of a $3.8 million investment in radiologic imaging. Other enhancements include a new MRI and CT Scanner that offer maximum patient comfort and shorter exam times.

Services We Offer

  • Breast care. The Connie Dwyer Breast Center uses the most technologically advanced equipment and services available and is staffed with board-certified bilingual specialists who are dedicated to provide the very best in breast health care, from screening to diagnosis and, if necessary, treatment.
  • Maternity. All the rooms in our maternity unit are private rooms. We have state-of-the-art labor/delivery/recovery rooms and special expertise in working with high risk infants. Our Maternity staff provides a safe, secure and fulfilling birthing experience tailored to your own preference and the care plan recommended by your physician or midwife.
  • Midwifery. Want an alternative to routine childbirth without giving up the security of experienced, well-trained health care providers? We are proud to offer this option at Trinitas Regional Medical Center.
  • Urogynecology. Trinitas is leading in innovations designed to help women who suffer from urinary incontinence, including the minimally invasive TVT procedure. A key part of this program is pelvic floor dysfunction treatment, a service consisting of specialized physical therapy that offers an alternative to surgery or medication for women suffering from urinary incontinence.
  • Robotic surgery. The unveiling of the daVinci Robotic Surgical System recently brought added advancements to women's care. The fine movements and minimally invasive approach allowed by the daVinci system brings benefits to women undergoing hysterectomies, GYN oncology treatments and urogynecological procedures.
  • Nonsurgical treatment for post-hysterectomy bleeding. Trinitas is proud to offer a nonsurgical option for women who undergo hysterectomy to treat excessive menstrual or uterine bleeding. Learn more about a procedure called endometrial ablation (EA), which involves removing only the lining of a woman's uterus using warmed water.

Trinitas Regional Medical Center is one of just eight health care facilities in New Jersey to receive accreditation from the American College of Surgeons National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC). Both the Trinitas Diagnostic Imaging Center and the Trinitas Comprehensive Cancer Center of Trinitas Regional Medical Center have received this accreditation for excellence in cancer diagnosis and cancer care services. The NAPBC granted this accreditation to Trinitas for its voluntary commitment to providing the best in breast cancer diagnosis and treatment and its compliance with established NAPBC standards.

James Frost, MD, FACS, who is affiliated with Trinitas Comprehensive Cancer Center, has received the Mastery of Breast Surgery Program designation from the American Society of Breast Surgeons Board of Directors. Dr. Frost, widely recognized as an accomplished surgeon, is a member of Advanced Surgical Associates based in Springfield.
