Safe Kids Union County
Who We Are
Safe Kids Union County is one of over 400 United States coalitions of Safe Kids Worldwide. Safe Kids Worldwide is a global non-profit organization working to prevent childhood injury. Through research, advocacy, raising awareness, and facilitation of safety programs, Safe Kids Worldwide has helped to reduce the U.S. childhood death rate from preventable injuries by 57% in their first 20 years.
Safe Kids Union County (NJ) is led by Children's Specialized Hospital, which provides dedicated and caring staff, operation support and other resources to assist in achieving our common goal: keeping your kids safe. Based on the needs of the community, this coalition implements evidence-based programs, such as car-seat checkups, safety workshops and sports clinics, that help parents and caregivers prevent childhood injuries.
What We Do
We prevent childhood injuries.
Safe Kids Worldwide categories their safety initiatives into 3 categories: At Home, At Play, and On the Way. Safe Kids Union County focuses on safety initiatives in the At Play category (Water Safety & Sports Safety) and the On the Way category (Child Passenger Safety, Pedestrian Safety, and Bike Safety). Safe Kids Union County supports their community by sharing safety tips, presenting at school assemblies, facilitating community safety seminars and events, and proving safety information and giveaways at local community events. All of these services are provided FREE of charge to local communities.
If you’re interested in booking an assembly, seminar, event, or want us at your next event, let us know.
