Department of Pathology
A diversity of diagnostic services, ranging from diagnosis of cancer by physician pathologists to diagnostic testing of blood, urine, and body fluids by highly trained technical personnel, is provided. Among the sophisticated equipment used are electron microscopes, automated electronic blood cell counters, and blood chemistry analyzers.

The Department of Pathology has an independent, approved, four-year post graduate residency program in anatomic and clinical pathology leading to eligibility for certification by the American Board of Pathology.

Andrology Laboratory, Department of Pathology, 322-5190
Highly trained personnel, under the direction of a physician pathologist, perform semen analysis, including semen biochemical tests; various sperm tests for survival, motility, membrane integrity and penetration capability; sperm antibodies in serum and semen; and preparation of sperm for in-utero insemination. Sperm morphology is evaluated by the strict morphologic criteria of Kruger.
