The safety and health of our patients, caregivers and team members are always our highest priorities.
Booking an appointment
RWJBarnabas Health Medical Group continues to provide primary and specialty care services both in-person and through telemedicine in adherence to all public health guidance and regulatory policies.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, our medical group practices have worked with guidance from the New Jersey Department of Health, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and regional and local health agencies to address this serious public health issue.
Your care is too important to wait.
Safety
Now that the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic in New Jersey has passed, we are moving forward in a thoughtful and structured way to continue to safely and reliably serve our communities and care for all patients. We recognize that patients and their families may be fearful of seeking medical care at this time. For RWJBarnabas Health Medical Group safety comes first and is embedded in everything we do. With the safety of our patients and team members at the forefront, we are taking the appropriate precautions and using best practices to continue to ensure the highest quality care, protection, support and comfort for all of our patients.
RWJBarnabas Health Medical Group has the following safety protocols in place to ensure the safety and well-being of our patients, providers and staff:
- Enhanced our already high cleanliness standards through rigorous cleaning, hand sanitizer stations and removing potential cross-contamination materials, such as magazines, in waiting rooms.
- Universal COVID-19 screening questions for patients and daily health checks of all providers and staff members.
- Reduced the number of patients allowed to be scheduled in person. Patients are also limited to one family member/support person to accompany them during their visit.
- Patients may be asked to wait in their car until they are ready to be seen and registration will be conducted over the phone whenever possible.
- All staff will continue to wear masks and gloves at all times.
- Patients and their support person will be required to wear a mask at all times.
- Social and physical distancing measures for all people in our offices– in all employee and patient areas – such as minimizing time in waiting areas, spacing chairs at least 6 feet apart, marking floors with tape at proper intervals and maintaining low patient flow so as not to cause crowding.
- Adherence to the guidance and established criteria of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the American Hospital Association, leading national associations of nurses, surgeons and anesthesiologists, and the New Jersey Department of Health.
