Respiratory Care at Somerset Campus

Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset’s Respiratory Care Department provides diagnostic and therapeutic services for inpatients and outpatients, ranging from neonatal patients to mature adults. Our qualified staff treats a wide range of acute and chronic lung disorders, including:

  • asthma
  • bronchitis
  • emphysema
  • trauma and post-surgery needs

In addition to patient education, our services include:

  • pulmonary function testing
  • pulmonary hygiene therapy
  • arterial blood gas sampling
  • nebulized bronchodilation
  • bronchoscopy

  • invasive/non-invasive mechanical ventilation
