Infusion Therapy
Steeplechase Cancer Center
Infusion therapy is a key component of any cancer treatment plan. It typically involves the administration of medication through a needle or catheter, but also includes other non-oral routes, such as intramuscular injections and epidural routes (into the membranes surrounding the spinal cord). The therapy includes the use of chemotherapy, biological, monoclonal antibody therapy, blood products, and supportive supplements. A prescription from your doctor is required.
The Steeplechase Cancer Center now offers Paxman Scalp Cooling treatment for cancer patients to help prevent hair loss caused by certain chemotherapy drugs.
Our centers are staffed by experienced nurses. We recognize the importance of providing services on schedule and do our best to minimize waiting times for both physician and treatment visits.
Recognizing the busy schedules of our patients, our centers offer flexible appointments and are able to administer treatments promptly and efficiently. The staff of each center’s sole focus is on cancer, so you can be sure that your treatment will reflect the most advanced knowledge about how to treat and live with cancer.
