The Sanofi US Breast Care Program, housed at The Steeplechase Cancer Center at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset, is focused on providing quality breast care as well as delivering state-of-the-art treatment services.
Breast Cancer Screening and Diagnosis
The Sanofi US Breast Care Program at The Steeplechase Cancer Center is dedicated to breast cancer prevention and early detection, giving patients the best chance for successful treatment and potential cure.
The program's expert staff has extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer, performing screenings, diagnostic mammograms and breast biopsies. The center’s state-of-the-art 3D mammography provides more detailed images to help increase the early detection of breast cancer. No prescriptions are needed. Convenient onsite parking is available.
Our program has been designated a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology and it meets the Food and Drug Administration's strict standards. Since 2010, the Breast Care Program has been accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers, demonstrating outstanding achievement in quality standards.
Located on the third floor of the Cancer Center, the program offers comprehensive, personalized breast health services from routine screenings to complex diagnostic procedures and treatment evaluations by using the latest technology the field has to offer, including:
- 2D and 3D mammography
- 2D and 3D stereotactic breast biopsy
- Breast ultrasound
- DEXA scanning
Special Screening Program for People at High Risk for Breast Cancer
Our High Risk Breast Cancer Screening Program includes genetic counseling services to help those who are high risk understand their risk factors and determine what actions they can take to protect themselves and their families.
You may be at an elevated risk for breast cancer based on a combination of personal, lifestyle or genetic risk factors. The American Cancer Society defines a woman as “high risk” for breast cancer if her lifetime risk of developing the disease is 20 percent or higher.
