Anita Bhandarkar, AuD, CCC-A
Audiology Coordinator
Dr. Bhandarkar has been practicing audiology for over 17 years and has been with Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital since 2012. She graduated with a Master of Science in Audiology from Bloomsburg University and completed her Doctorate of Audiology from Salus University. Prior to joining the hospital, Dr. Bhandarkar worked in a private practice setting serving all age groups with hearing disorders.
Dr. Bhandarkar provides comprehensive audiologic care for pediatric and adult populations, including diagnostic testing for infant through adults, pediatric and adult hearing aid evaluations and fittings. Her specific area of interest within audiology is vestibular evaluations which comprise of extensive tests for patients with dizziness/imbalance to assess the vestibular system in the inner ear. Dr. Bhandarkar is also the lead preceptor providing supervision and training of audiology students/externs at the hospital.
Outside of the clinic, she loves spending family time with her husband and two children. Her hobbies include reading, travelling, exploring new cuisines and gardening.
Dr. Bhandarkar holds a Certification of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech and Hearing Association and is licensed in the State of New Jersey as an Audiologist and a Hearing Aid Dispenser.
