Outpatient Radiology Services: University Radiology at RWJ

University Radiology at Robert Wood Johnson, a partnership between Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and University Radiology Group have partnered to form a world-class, state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging center. The 25,000 square-foot, three-floor facility includes an all-digital women’s imaging center and is one of the largest medical imaging centers in New Jersey.

URG radiologists are on site every day, providing the best in subspecialty imaging. The imaging center is housed within RWJUH’s recently completed nine-story, 115,000 square-foot outpatient and administrative office center on Plum Street. In addition to University Radiology at Robert Wood Johnson, the facility features the Breast Care Connection at RWJUH and an outpatient surgery center among other services.

Diagnostic imaging services offered at University Radiology at Robert Wood Johnson include:

  • Low-dose CT Scans
    • State-of-the-art CT scanning that reduces radiation exposure while producing the highest quality images. Studies show this technology can reduce your radiation exposure by up to 50%.
  • MRI & CT
  • Digital Mammography and DEXA
  • Breast MRI and Breast Biopsies
  • Nuclear Medicine
  • Ultrasound
  • X-ray

By entering into a joint venture with URG, RWJUH expects to improve services to outpatients, enhance its operations and devote more of its hospital-based diagnostic imaging capacity to inpatients. This will help improve patient satisfaction by reducing overall waiting times for diagnostic imaging procedures.
