Physician Assistant
Carla Pardee is a board-certified physician assistant and an assistant professor with the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (RWJMS) and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. She received her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ. Prior to joining the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, she worked as a physician assistant in the Department of Emergency Medicine at RWJMS. Carla is also vice president of a physician assistant-run non-profit organization called Mayanza, which works to improve the health of school-aged children in rural Guatemala.
Carla works directly with plastic and reconstructive surgeons as part of their clinical and academic practice. She assists in the operating room and is directly involved in the clinical care of patients before and after surgery. She particularly enjoys being involved in the cutting-edge clinical practice that our plastics team offers to assist other specialties in the operating room, such as complex closures for the cardiothoracic, colorectal, and orthopedic teams.
