Specialty Care Transport Unit (SCTU)

Our Specialty Care Transport Unit (SCTU) started in 1996 and provides care to patients who require critical care monitoring and/or interventions during inter-facility transport. The primary team consists of a nurse and paramedic who have extensive experience in the treatment and transport of critically ill patients. Our staff is trained in latest standards of critical care medicine including ventilator management and cardiac assist devices such as IABP and Impella.

Our program services both adult and pediatric patient populations and can be augmented with additional specialty staff based on patient needs. Our team responds to a wide variety of transports including cardiac, stroke, and trauma throughout the tri-state area.
