The Basic Life Support (BLS) Division

The BLS Division at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (RWJUH) has provided coverage 24-hours a day, 7 days a week for the City of New Brunswick since 1981. We have expanded our service line to Piscataway, Hamilton, Franklin Township, South Bound Brook, Manville, Raritan Boro, Bridgewater and Far Hills / Bedminster. RWJUH also provides services to all of the surrounding communities as needed.

Our BLS ambulances also provide inter-hospital transportation as needed serving the RWJUH community. Our EMTs are certified by the New Jersey Department of Health, and receive considerable additional training above and beyond the minimum state level.
