RWJBarnabas Health Institute for Prevention and Recovery – Rutgers Collaboration
The RWJBarnabas Health Institute for Prevention and Recovery (IFPR), a leading provider of prevention programs for adults and youth, one of the largest providers of hospital and community-based recovery support services, and the largest provider of free tobacco and nicotine treatment services in New Jersey, remains a data-driven service delivery organization, focused on innovation and the advancement of social care practices. Curiosity, vigilance and innovation drive us to advance our mission and commitment to training, education and research in our relentless pursuit of exceptional recovery and prevention services. IFPR values our close, collaborative partnership with the Rutgers Addiction Research Center (RARC). The RARC is the largest comprehensive addiction research center in the country, and strives to advance scientific discovery; translate basic research into more effective prevention, intervention, and treatment; train and diversify the next generation of addiction researchers; and empower the community to apply scientific knowledge in ways that will benefit their lives. This partnership enables us to bring together best-in-class researchers, clinicians, and community members who are dedicated to tackling addiction and all social care-related issues.
So we can best partner with researchers who help to advance the services offered to our communities, we welcome and encourage new and continued partnerships to expand the body of research and drive innovative solutions to addiction. Wondering how to get started?
Step 1: The first step in the process for all interested collaborators, is to review our list of current programs and projects to see if your project aligns with our work. While we remain interested in any new research, we also want to ensure continued alignment with ongoing programs and projects.
Step 2: Based on the potential parallels drawn for this review, please fill out our Research Inquiry Form. This information is vital for us to understand the aims of your work as well as the scope and timeframe of the request, and ensure that we are directing the request to the appropriate individual(s). Review the Research Inquiry Form Questions before you get started.
The IFPR/RARC Research Steering Committee, which is made up of leaders from IFPR and RARC, meets monthly to review inquiries and hear presentations. You will receive further information from the Steering Committee about next steps after you submit the form. We thank you for your interest in collaborating and shared commitment to curiosity, vigilance and innovation as we work to build and sustain a healthier New Jersey.
