Research Conflicts of Interest Policy

As required by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) final rule published September 26, 2011 in the Federal Register that amended the Public Health Service (PHS) regulations on Responsibility of Applicants for Promoting Objectivity in Research for which PHS Funding is Sought (42 C.F.R. Part 50, Subpart F) and Responsible Prospective Contractors (45 C.F.R. Part 94), attached is the Research Conflicts of Interest Policy that each of the RWJBarnabas Health facilities conducting research has adopted effective August 24, 2012. RWJBarnabas Health will respond to written requests from members of the public for financial interest information, in accordance with the above regulations.

Requests for such information must be made in writing and addressed to:

Any request must include the requestor's name, address, and contact information. The request should indicate the name of the RWJBarnabas Health facility(ies), the study investigator's name, the name of the individual who is the subject of the inquiry, the PHS grant number (if available), and name of the PHS agency funding the study.
