Donna S MMCSC Patient Raves About Caring Staff Member

“I cannot say enough nice things about Kevin, who helped me get through these tests with professionalism and kindness. Kevin took the time to make feel comfortable and safe while going through a very scary time in my life.”

When former patient Donna Schick of Jackson received a survey to rate Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus (MMCSC), after her outpatient visits, she was thrilled to mention a few staff members, specifically Kevin Kilfeather, MRI Technologist.

Donna was diagnosed with metastatic kidney cancer in 2020 and needed to have nuclear bone scans performed every few weeks at the start, and then every 3 months as her treatment progressed. Donna choose Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus because it was close to home and convenient. Donna recalled that battling kidney cancer was a very stressful time for her, but felt the need to acknowledge the excellent care she received at MMCSC.

“I cannot say enough nice things about Kevin, who helped me get through these tests with professionalism and kindness,” explained Donna. “He would always greet me with a smile and ask how I was doing and remember past conversations we had. I never felt like just a part of an assembly line but a person. Kevin took the time to make feel comfortable and safe while going through a very scary time in my life. MMCSC is lucky to have this man as part of their team and I thank him for being a person who cares about the patients he takes care of each day.”

Donna’s cancer is in remission and she stopped in for a visit at MMCSC to see Kevin. The two reminisced and talked about how Kevin and the CT Scan staff would coordinate the two tests she needed, to make the timing more convenient and quicker for Donna.
