“I am living with Stage IV Metastatic Breast Cancer with hope that there will one day be a cure.”
Wife and mother of three Maureen Karsen has been living with breast cancer for three years. When diagnosed at the age of 43, Maureen’s cancer had already advanced and metastasized to her liver. Chemotherapy was her only option. She would need to be in treatment for the rest of her life. Her family and friends rallied around her and have been incredibly supportive and caring.
With outstanding results from chemotherapy, Maureen is thriving and living a life of purpose, focusing her energy on wellness and positivity. She is grateful to her “wonderful team” at the Cancer Center. “They just don’t treat my cancer, they treat everything including my body, mind and spirit,” says Maureen. “It has made all the difference. I feel very lucky to be in such a good place.”
