Bayonne Community Mental Health Center
Trinitas Department of Behavioral Health and Psychiatry’s primary mission is the same as it was 50+ years ago – to address the mental health care needs of individuals, families, and institutions in the City of Bayonne and surrounding communities.
For decades, our center has provided essential mental health programs to the residents of Bayonne and neighboring communities, including child, adolescent, and adult outpatient psychiatric services, child and family therapy programs, child abuse and domestic violence programs, crime victims' services, partial care programs for adults with serious mental illness, adult and outpatient addictions services, and a variety of successful community awareness and outreach programs.
Our specific aims are to:
- Reduce the severity of the psychological symptoms which diminish individuals' ability to live freely and productively in their home and community
- Help individuals develop their psychological and social strengths to improve personal and social functioning
- Help individuals experience a greater sense of self-determination, satisfaction, and connection with others
How We Help
Trinitas Department of Behavioral Health and Psychiatry provides effective behavioral health services delivered by exceptional staff who work together with respect and compassion for the patients they serve. Our wide range of behavioral health treatments help patients face the stress of daily life, the challenges of aging, and finding alternatives to chemical dependency. We offer our comprehensive services to children and adults in a diverse range of settings, from our mobile crisis unit to our emergency department, as well as in inpatient and outpatient settings. Our multidisciplinary, bilingual staff includes board-certified psychiatrists, psychologists, licensed clinical social workers, substance abuse counselors, creative art therapists, and other expert support staff.
In the spirit of continued and future success, our center plans to invest significant funding with the intention of upgrading important elements of administration, including electronic medical records, computerized registration and billing software, and high-speed telecommunications equipment.
