Rev. Dr. Ronald B. Christian Community Health and Wellness Center at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center

The Rev. Dr. Ronald B. Christian Community Health and Wellness Center serves as an intergenerational education hub where community members can connect with health care experts and their peers.

Located at 208 Lyons Avenue in Newark, The Wellness Center offers nutrition classes and health resources for people of all ages. From activities for seniors to prenatal nutrition education to cooking classes for kids, there’s something for everyone.

Named for former Newark Beth Israel Medical Center board member and beloved pastor Reverend Dr. Ronald B. Christian, the center upholds the principles he held dear.

“Rev. Ron knew the value of building bridges in the community. He was a true champion for The Beth and integral to our efforts for a healthier Newark,” said Darrell K. Terry, President and CEO, Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and Children’s Hospital of New Jersey. “Rev. Ron devoted his life to providing support to those in need. He believed that the partnership with NBIMC in creating a healthcare ministry was important.”
