The Northern Department of Cardiac Surgery at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center (NBIMC) is able to offer you the most comprehensive and compassionate care.
Our multidisciplinary team comprised of cardiologists, interventional cardiologists, radiologists, anesthesiologists and cardiac surgeons are experts in diagnosing and treating all cardiac valve syndromes and disorders. Historically, cardiac surgery has been performed as an open procedure, but over the years, minimally-invasive techniques have been developed to provide safe and effective alternatives.

Our Northern Department of Cardiac Surgery, which encompasses Jersey City Medical Center, Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center, provides easy access to highly sophisticated, cardiac surgeons. At these facilities, our surgeons, who are experts in advanced cardiac surgery, heart failure, heart and lung transplantation, and minimally-invasive cardiac surgery, operate at the forefront of innovation. They also specialize in conditions with disease complexities involving multiple valves, multiple bypasses, and aortic emergencies.
