Newark Beth Israel Medical Center (NBIMC) is a 665-bed community-based teaching hospital located in Newark, New Jersey that serves patients throughout the New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania area.

As major teaching partners of Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and Children’s Hospital of New Jersey (our pediatric hospital) provide graduate medical education in cardiovascular diagnosis, interventional cardiology, heart failure electrophysiology, computed tomography (CT) surgery, vascular surgery and pulmonary critical care medicine.

American Heart Association
Newark Beth Israel Medical Center received the Get with the Guidelines Gold Award for Resuscitation from 2017 to 2022 for implementing specific quality improvement measures outlined by the American Heart Association for the treatment of patients who suffer cardiac arrests in the hospital. Guidelines include following protocols for patient safety, medical emergency team response, effective and timely cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and post-resuscitation care.
