Bloodless Medicine & Surgery
At Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, our goal is to provide safe, clinically appropriate care for all of our patients. The Bloodless Medicine and Surgery Program at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center is designed to accommodate patients' individual needs and preferences with clinically proven, safe, and effective bloodless procedures and alternatives. Bloodless medicine and surgery involves comprehensive blood conservation and management strategies designed to decrease the amount of blood loss during and after surgical procedures and maximize the oxygen levels in the blood in order to avoid the need for an allogeneic (donor) blood transfusion.
