Obstetrics and Gynecologic Services
Over the past five decades, Monmouth has maintained its leadership position
as the region’s largest obstetric and gynecologic center by offering
a wide range of services for women throughout their life cycle, from adolescent care to
breast health to maternity care to menopause services.
Monmouth Medical Center' Maternity department delivers the most babies of any hospital in Monmouth and Ocean counties.
The vast majority of the more than 50 obstetricians/gynecologists (OB/GYNs) who serve as attending physicians on Monmouth’s medical staff are board certified or eligible in the discipline. Many also hold additional certification in such sub specialties as maternal-fetal medicine (perinatology), reproductive endocrinology and infertility.
Gynecology specialties include urogynecology and gynecologic oncology.
Because Monmouth is one of the state’s largest academic medical centers, these physicians are members of a highly regarded teaching faculty that plays an integral role in the academic and clinical education of eight physicians-in-training in the obstetrics and residency program.
Our OB/GYNs are supported by a staff of registered nurses and other professionals who are specially trained in women’s health care.
