Programs and Specialties We Offer
Orthopedic doctors at Monmouth Medical Center have advanced pioneering techniques that have revolutionized the field. Our programs include diagnosis and treatment including orthopedic surgery and rehabilitation.
- Comprehensive pain management service. Monmouth Medical Center offers the latest in patient-controlled analgesia (PCA) and post-operative epidural catheters. We have been recognized for outstanding patient satisfaction scores well above state and national rankings in the area of pain management; consistently ranked in the 99th percentile in the state and the 90th percentile nationally for pain management.
- Joint Replacement Center. We were the first center in the region to offer robotic-arm assisted partial knee replacement and hip replacement surgery. With highly experienced, board-certified and fellowship-trained joint specialists, our center has extremely low infection rates.
- Spine Center. We have one of the highest-volume spine surgery programs in the state. We were the first hospital in the region to offer robotic spine surgery. Highly experienced, board-certified and fellowship-trained spine specialists bring together expertise in orthopedic surgery and neurosurgery to ensure patients receive the best possible treatment options, including minimally invasive spine procedures and advanced therapies for a full range of spinal conditions.
- Patient education. Pre-hospital screening and comprehensive patient education programs help patients understand what to expect before, during and after surgery.
- Orthopedic therapy and rehabilitation. There is on-site physical therapy and rehab 7 days a week for inpatients recovering from surgery.
- Patient navigation. A Joint Replacement and Spine Center Coordinator serves as the patient’s personal navigator and liaison with the orthopedic surgeon to coordinate care from the preoperative class through hospital stay and discharge.
Nonsurgical Orthopedic Treatments
In many cases, pain relief and recovery can be achieved with nonsurgical treatments such as physical therapy. Some of the nonsurgical treatments offered at our facilities throughout New Jersey include:

Our dedicated pediatric hospital, The Unterberg Children’s Hospital, uses the latest diagnostic and surgical technologies to treat pediatric patients. We provide comprehensive diagnosis and treatment for a variety of orthopedic conditions. If surgery is necessary, we offer minimally invasive and robot-assisted surgical procedures. We provide a broad range of pediatric orthopedic services for conditions that are common in children, such as:
