Cancer Support Services

Licensed clinical social workers offer a host of services to help patients and families to cope with the emotional aspects of a cancer diagnosis, including supportive counseling, education, referral services and support groups. Social services such as transportation, wigs and prosthetic devices, financial assistance and continuing care in the home environment are also available for patients. From diagnosis through survivorship, these licensed mastered-prepared professionals focus their activities in several key areas, including offering individual and family sessions, and facilitating support groups for patients with breast cancer, colon cancer and prostate cancer.
