Center for Comprehensive Care

undefined

Jersey City Medical Center has been a leader in the diagnosis and treatment of HIV and AIDS since 1985, when it was chosen as one of the original Department of Health's HIV Counseling and Testing sites. The Center for Comprehensive Care began in 1987 through a grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. Since its inception, the program has grown and expanded to annually serve 1,000 clients, their families and significant others. The goal of the program is to provide comprehensive medical services and case management to children, adolescents and adults infected with HIV in Jersey City/Hudson County. Currently, funding is provided by grants from the New Jersey Department of Health, Division of HIV/AIDS Services, the New Jersey Department of Health Special Child, Adult and Early Intervention Services and the Ryan White Care Act (Part A, Part B and Part D).
