Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program
Education Conferences
Monday Indications Conference
7-8:00pm
On Monday evenings, Dr. Liporace moderates a case conference with a group of residents, reviewing preoperative cases and their surgical indications.
Wednesday Education Conference
6:30-10:30am
On Wednesday mornings, the residents hold a fracture conference to review teaching cases and appropriate radiology studies. The conferences is moderated by a senior resident and an attending faculty member. The remainder of the education conference consists of resident-directed learning from presentations based on orthopedic textbooks, review books, review articles, scientific articles as well as OITE practice questions.
Thursday Orthopedic Surgery Grand Rounds
6:30-8:00am
This weekly conference consists of a faculty attending lecture and resident case and topic presentation. This conference is attended by JCMC orthopedic attendings, residents, PAs, PT/OT staff as well as members of various other departments.
