LGBTQ+ Educational Information and Resources
Below is a list of resources that offer information, programming, and physical and mental health resources for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning, intersex and asexual (LGBTQ+) community.
- National LGBT Health Education Center provides educational programs, resources and consultation to health care organizations with the goal of optimizing quality, cost-effective health care for LGBTQIA individuals.
- Eva (Exceptional Voice App) is a voice-training mobile app for transgender people.
- PFLAG is the largest organization for LGBTQ+ people, their parents and families, and allies. PFLAG is a grassroots network committed to creating a world where diversity is celebrated and all people are respected, valued and affirmed.
- The Movement Advancement Project is an independent think tank that provides research and analysis focused on policy, advocacy organizations, and messaging that educates policymakers, the media and the public about the LGBT movement.
- National Center for Transgender Equality is a national social justice organization. It provides advocacy and education on national issues of importance to transgender people. This site provides links to a wealth of information about policies, statistics, and issues such as aging, discrimination, immigration and health care.
- The Trevor Project provides crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to LGBTQ people under 25.
- CDC – Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Health is the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's site. It provides information and statistics about health issues including sexually transmitted diseases, violence prevention, and adolescent and school health.
- GLADD – LGBTQ Resource List – GLAAD works through entertainment, news, and digital media to share stories from the LGBTQ community that accelerate acceptance. Its resource list includes topics such as politics, bisexuality and transgender identity, youth, military and legal issues, and aging.
- The Human Rights Campaign’s work centers on three pillars of action to end discrimination and fight for change: mobilizing equality voters, educating the public about LGBTQ issues, and advancing pro-equality policy and litigation.
- Partnership to End Addiction provides personalized support and resources for families impacted by addiction, while mobilizing policymakers, researchers and health care professionals to more effectively address addiction systemically on a national scale. - The PROUD Gender Center of New Jersey, located in New Brunswick, is a program of the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, providing integrated care, training, education, research and outreach in support of transgender people. Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital is a proud partner in this program led by doctors on its Transgender Services team.

- Babs Siperstein PROUD Center – Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset offers specialized primary care services for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning, intersex and asexual (LGBTQIA) adults at the Babs Siperstein PROUD Center in Somerville.
- Proud Center at Community Medical Center offers specialized primary care services for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning, intersex and asexual (LGBTQIA) adults at the PROUD Center at IM Faculty Practice.
- Rutgers Center for Social Justice Education and LGBT Communities provides educational and social programs, leadership development, and policy consultation for LGBTQIA and ally students, faculty, staff and community members.
- The Robert Wood Johnson AIDS Program (RWJAP) provides multidisciplinary health care to children, adolescents and adults infected and affected by HIV in a family-centered environment. Originally focused on pediatrics, the organization has grown in scope. The organization is dedicated to advancing the field of HIV care and prevention through patient services, research, education, and local, national, and international advocacy. It is a joint program of Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.
- The Pride Center of New Jersey provides comprehensive programming which fosters the health and well-being of the LGBTQ+ community through education and outreach.
- Garden State Equality is New Jersey's Largest LGBTQ advocacy and education organization.
