Emergency Medicine Residency Program at Community Medical Center

CMC Emergency RoomThe Emergency Medicine Residency Program at Community Medical Center will provide residents with a comprehensive, structured, clinical, didactic, and procedural education in both the inpatient and outpatient settings that will enable residents to become competent, proficient, and professional emergency medicine physicians. The program is structured to provide residents with the fundamental knowledge and essential principles vital to Emergency Medicine.

Community Medical Center is a 592-bed, fully accredited acute care hospital offering area residents world-class medical treatment with the comforts of hometown care. Opened in 1961, Community Medical Center, is now committed to high quality undergraduate and graduate medical education programs. CMC is Ocean County’s largest and most active health care facility — caring for over 28,000 inpatients, 127,700 outpatients and over 75,000 emergency department patients each year.

Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School with Community Medical Center offers an ACGME-accredited three-year categorical Emergency Medicine training program.
