What You Can Gain From the Forum

RWJBarnabas Health Leadership Forum is designed for the PGY1 and PGY2 residents in the RWJBarnabas Health system to gain experience and expertise in Leadership and Management in addition to their already established learning experiences. The topics taught are items that are not a part of traditional clinical training and gained by many on the fly or in a situational basis.

Topics include:

  • Collaboration
  • Human resource management
  • Goal setting
  • Metrics
  • Financial management
  • Culture
  • Business etiquette and networking

Through 6 off-site interactive sessions, residents are provided with dedicated time to review and develop these skills. Additionally, these sessions allow the formation of a deeper connection and relationship with the residents across the Enterprise.

Teaching and Learning Certificate Program:Offered by the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy at Rutgers University, this program will strengthen the resident’s knowledge and skills in presenting lectures and precepting students.

Precepting Students: RWJBarnabas Health Behavioral Health Center accepts APPE and IPPE students from Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU) School of Pharmacy, University of the Sciences, Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy at Rutgers, Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Center, and South University School of Pharmacy.
