Goals and Objectives

Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center

The goals and objectives that have consistently been met over the past few years by our graduating IC Fellows are:

  1. Facility with routine and complex PCI including use of Atherectomy, Shock wave and imaging combined with Stenting.
  2. Facility with high risk protected PCI including Unprotected Left Main interventions.
  3. Facility wish Peripheral Endovascular diagnostic and interventional procedures including Illiac, Femoral and below knee interventions. Use of Pedal approach.
  4. Exposure to Braciocephalic diagnostic and interventional procedures including Carotid and Subclavian Stenting.
  5. Extensive exposure to structural heart disease procedures including TAVR, LAAO, ASD/PFO Closure and Mitral Valve interventions.
  6. Exposure to Vein interventions including Illiac Vein Stenting.
  7. Exposure to interventions for Submassive Pulmonary Embolism.
