Internal Medicine Residency at Monmouth Medical Center
General Information
All applications are accepted and processed ONLY through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). We offer all of our 13 categorical positions ONLY via the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) match. We do NOT offer preliminary or transitional year positions, pre-match or couple positions, internships, externships, or observerships. Our application deadline is October 31.
Visa Sponsorship
- Monmouth Medical Center sponsors J-1 visas ONLY. We do NOT offer H-1, H-1b J-2, or Pending Green Cards.
- Non-J-1 visa International medical graduates must supply proof of permanent residency (green card) or EAD (employment authorization document).
Eligibility Criteria
- Graduation from Medical School can be no greater than six years.
- Preferred USMLE > 230 and ALL USMLE Step exams must be passed on the first attempt.
- Official USMLE transcript of exam results for Step 1 and Step 2CK must be provided.
- The USMLE Step 3 exam completion is preferred but not required for application.
- The program requires proof of USMLE Step 3 Registration by July 1st, and the exam must be taken by Dec. 1st of the PGY-1 year.
- COMLEX transcripts – For DOs ONLY – are accepted in place of USMLE transcript
- International medical graduates are welcome to apply.
- International medical graduates must be ECFMG-Certified to be considered for interviews.
- English must be clear and fluent in both written and spoken forms.
