Administrative Fellowship

As one of New Jersey's oldest teaching hospitals, Monmouth Medical Center welcomes a 12-month post-graduate Administrative Fellowship training program. Through this program and under the direction of Executive Leadership, we will provide the fellow with educational opportunities that will enrich their overall professional career. The MMC Administrative Fellowship is a hospital-based, rotational and project-orientated initiative that will provide the fellow insight into a community-based teaching hospital.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Applicants must be in the final year of a Master’s-level program including, but not limited to, MHA, MBA, MHSA, MPH
  • Applicants must be US citizens or be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the U.S. (we are unable to sponsor H-1B visas)
  • Completion of degree from a Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME) university preferred

Fellowship Structure

The Monmouth Medical Center Administrative Fellowship program is a year-long, contracted position where the fellow will be an integral member of hospital administration. The program begins on Tuesday, July 1, 2025. The fellow will work hand in hand with hospital leadership, rotate through various areas of the hospital, and identify, implement, and support numerous projects.

Key hospital rotations include Academics, Operations, Finance, Information Technology, Clinical Operations and Regulatory. Additional rotations and project implementation will be tailored to the fellow's areas of interest. The fellow will also be presented with professional development opportunities including attendance at the American College of Healthcare Executives Annual Congress. Upon completion of this program, the fellow will have a deeper understanding of not only how a hospital functions, but what it takes to be a leader in the healthcare setting.

Executive Mentoring

During the Administrative Fellowship at MMC, the fellow will work closely with healthcare executives and the department of Academic Affairs. The fellow will have monthly or bimonthly one-to-one meetings with executive mentors to gain further insight and guidance surrounding professional growth and leadership skills.
