Rheumatology Fellowship Program at Jersey City Medical Center
Welcome to Jersey City Medical Center’s Rheumatology Fellowship Program!
Jersey City Medical Center has proudly served the Jersey City community and Hudson County for 142 years. Established in 1882 as the “Charity Hospital,” we have evolved significantly over the decades. Renamed Jersey City Hospital in 1885, we became a private nonprofit organization in 1988. In 2004, we relocated to downtown Jersey City, conveniently near Liberty State Park and numerous transportation options to New York City. Recently, we expanded our Emergency Department and developed outpatient hubs throughout Hudson County to meet our community’s needs better.
As the second largest city in New Jersey, Jersey City is a melting pot of cultures, boasting 10 historic sites dating back to the 1800s. Its vibrant and diverse environment, coupled with lively summer festivals, dynamic nightlife, and a plethora of restaurants offering global cuisines, make it an exciting place to live. With easy access to attractions such as Liberty Science Center, Liberty State Park, and Newport Mall, Jersey City offers a lifestyle that is both enriching and entertaining.
Completing a fellowship at Jersey City Medical Center not only offers the chance to learn in one of the top RWJBH facilities but also to experience one of the country’s best cities for young professionals. We look forward to welcoming you to our program and community!
