We are delighted to welcome you to our Rheumatology fellowship program at Jersey City Medical Center, proudly affiliated with Rutgers New Jersey Medical School.

Situated in the heart of Hudson County, overlooking the New York Harbor and Liberty State Park, Jersey City Medical Center is a historic institution renowned as one of the first medical centers in the United States and the first in New Jersey. Many residents of Northern New Jersey still affectionately refer to it as the "Medical Center." With a rich tradition in medical education, Jersey City Medical Center is a proud member of the RWJBarnabas Health care system. Our 348-bed teaching hospital is located in historic downtown Jersey City, serving one of the most diverse and densely populated communities in the nation.

Our program offers unique strengths, unparalleled by any other program in the country. The ideal location of our practice sites allows us to encounter an extensive array of rheumatological cases, from common conditions to extremely complex medical dilemmas. Fellows will gain comprehensive clinical experience in both outpatient and inpatient rheumatology settings.

Our goal is to produce well-rounded and confident fellows with rheumatological expertise capable of practicing independently anywhere in the country. We offer a variety of selective and elective rotations tailored to our fellows' interests. To ensure advanced experience, we collaborate with Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, providing further exposure to pediatric rheumatology and other specialized electives. We also support interests in musculoskeletal ultrasound training, offering the necessary infrastructure for success. Additionally, opportunities for participation in quality improvement research projects are available.

The small fellow-to-faculty ratio fosters close-knit working relationships and excellent camaraderie within our Department of Medicine. The environment is palpably supportive and is something we deeply cherish and promote.

We hope you will consider joining our strong clinical program.

Warm regards,
