PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency Program
This PGY1 pharmacy residency is a 52-week program designed to build on the Doctor of Pharmacy curriculum. PGY1 residents will be responsible for medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions. Additionally, completion of this program will allow eligibility for completion of a PGY2 pharmacy residency and/or board certification.
Graduates of the program will develop and strengthen the following skills:
- Leadership and practice management
- Precepting and teaching
- Time management and project coordination
Provide education to health care professionals and the public.
Perform pharmacy practice research.
The resident will be involved in all stages of the research. They will present their findings at ASHP’s Midyear meeting and at the Eastern States Residency conference.
