Andrew Parrish, MD
Program Director
Dr. Parrish is the Program Director for the Rutgers Health Transitional Year Residency at Community Medical Center where he is excited to welcome the first class in 2023.
Dr. Parrish is board certified in both Emergency Medicine and EMS & Disaster Medicine. He is originally from Orlando, Florida and graduated from the University of Central Florida while working on a 911 ALS unit during college. After completing medical school at St. George's University, he completed residency at Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, NJ and a fellowship in EMS, Disaster and Tactical medicine at Rutgers/RWJBH Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, NJ. He currently is EMS Medical Director of Community Medical Center and a member of the NJ state-wide EMS Physician response program with the MD1 Program and a Tactical Physician with the NJ State Police T.E.A.M.S. (SWAT) unit as well as various other federal response teams. He is an assistant professor of Emergency Medicine at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He loves actively making a difference on the front lines of medicine.
Nicole Maguire, DO, FACEP

Dr. Maguire is the Program Director for Emergency Medicine at Community Medical Center. Dr. Maguire graduated Cum Laude from Boston College and attended New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed a dually accredited residency in Emergency Medicine at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. She is board certified in Emergency Medicine by both the American Board of Emergency Medicine and the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine. She is a fellow of the American College of Emergency Medicine and is a Clinical Assistant Professor at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and St. George’s University. Dr. Maguire’s areas of interest and research include academics, resuscitative medicine, international medicine and clinical ethics. She was the physician leader at Newark Beth Israel for Moderate Therapeutic Hypothermia from 2011-2020 and has lectured in many settings on the topic. She was also the Vice-Chair of the Bio-Ethics Committee at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center from 2018-2020. She currently resides in New Jersey with her husband, daughter and twin sons. She is an avid US Master’s swimmer and enjoys running, yoga, biking and time with family and friends.
Alex Troncoso, MD
Core Faculty
Dr. Troncoso is a New Jersey native and a graduate of Rutgers University – New Brunswick campus. He went on to complete his residency in Emergency Medicine as well as a fellowship in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) at Morristown Medical Center, where he remained as clinical faculty for their EM residency for 8 years. Currently he serves as core faculty for the Transitional Year program at RWJBH – Community Medical Center, as well as clinical faculty for the Emergency Medicine residency program. Dr. Troncoso’s Medical interests include: Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Hyperbaric oxygen therapy and Resident education. Outside of medicine, he enjoys cooking and travel.
Mary Rometti, DO
Core Faculty
Dr. Rometti graduated from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City, Kansas. She completed her residency in Emergency Medicine at Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (RWJMS) in New Brunswick, NJ where she was also Chief Resident. After residency, she completed an Emergency Medicine Ultrasound Fellowship at Rutgers-RWJMS. Dr. Rometti’s medical interests include ultrasound and medical education. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, hiking, and traveling.
Angela Adelizzi, DO
Faculty
Dr. Adelizzi graduated from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her Internal Medicine residency at UMDNJ /School of Osteopathic Medicine, where she was Chief Resident during her final year. She is a Fellow in the American College of Osteopathic Internists. She has served as an associate professor at the University of Pennsylvania Health System. She has been in clinical practice in Toms River since 1992. She has participated as a Principle Investigator in many Pharmaceutical Research studies. She became a Diplomat of the American Board of Obesity Medicine in 2017. She is a strong advocate of the importance of a healthy lifestyle to prevent disease.
Gregory Neyman, MD
Research Director
Dr. Neyman graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University / Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, VA and completed his residency in Emergency Medicine in St John's Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit, MI. He completed a fellowship in Research in Christiana Care Hospital in Newark, DE. He was Research Director and Core Faculty at St Michael's Hospital in Newark, NJ, and has also worked in the New Jersey community.
