Immunotherapy: Making a Mark on Colorectal Cancer
According to the Cancer Research Institute, colorectal cancer is the third most common type of cancer in the United States. Discover the causes of colorectal cancer, risk factors, types of screenings (I.e. fecal occult blood test, Cologuard and a FIT), the different diagnostic tools (i.e. colonoscopy, virtual colonoscopy and sigmoidoscopy) and treatments (i.e. radiation, the Da Vinci Robotic Surgical System), including immunotherapy. Understand immunotherapy, the different medications or check inhibitors, the effectiveness of each and the molecular markers used to identify reoccurrences. A high fiber lunch will follow.
