2024 CPT® Coding Changes
RWJBarnabas Health will be offering a 2024 CPT® Coding Program presented by Jean Buble, Senior Vice President Case Management, HIM and CDI. Join us for lunch at the Lobster Shanty in Point Pleasant, NJ on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm as we highlight the most important CPT Coding changes and their impact for the physician offces in 2024.
The 2024 CPT code set created 349 editorial changes, including 230 additions, 49 deletions and 70 revisions and now offers Spanish language descriptors to bridge language barriers and make healthcare more inclusive and transparent. The changes also include the consolidation of more than 50 previous codes that streamline the reporting of immunizations for COVID-19 while creating fi ve new CPT Codes to report product-specific respiratory syncytial virus immunizations.
Additionally, there will be a review of the CPT editorial panel revisions that were added to clarify the reporting of evaluation and management services.
